Digital Rights and Responsibilities
For all users of technology; students, teachers and parents, there are rules, rights, privileges and obligations that govern the use of technology which is termed Digital Rights and Responsibilities. Like any other educational innovations there are rules that spell out what users can do while on line or using technology and what is unacceptable while using technology also known as Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
In addition to the rights that technology users have, they are also responsible for using technology for its intended purpose and not violating any usage laws, rules, ethics and behavior expectations of technology usage.

Digital Etiquette
- Treating others with respect and courtesy online
- Being familiar with and using the ethics and legal laws of using technology
- using appropriate Language online
- Using and following codes of acceptable conduct for electronic communications including mobile devices, electronic mail, messaging, social networking, and Web involvement and applications:
- Adhere to the same standards of behavior that you follow in real life to online as well
- Know the cyber space in which you operate
- Like first impressions; always make yourself look good online.
- If you cant do, say or show it in person, don't do it online.
